After recently failing their LEV test, our customer reached out in search of a more effective extraction system for their workshop. In response, one of our experienced design engineers carried out a site visit to assess their existing setup. It quickly became clear that the current system was no longer fit for purpose.
We designed and installed a brand-new ATEX-rated filter unit, complete with a 4kW fan and a shaker motor, to meet both performance and safety standards. The unit was vented externally, and we engineered custom bracketry to support both the CARZ valve and the ducting—designed to be strong yet visually unobtrusive, blending seamlessly into the workshop environment.
To further enhance operator protection, we also designed a partial enclosure hood for the band saw, effectively limiting fume and dust exposure in the workers’ breathing zones.
Following installation, our commissioning engineer conducted a full LEV COSHH test to certify the system and provided all necessary legal documentation to ensure the customer remained fully compliant with health and safety regulations.
This project highlights our commitment to delivering robust, custom-engineered LEV solutions that prioritise safety, performance, and seamless integration.
